Bezos is the world's second-wealthiest individual, with a net worth of roughly US$140 billion as of May 2022. In 2000, Bezos launched Blue Origin, an aircraft manufacturing, and sub-orbital spaceflight services company, as well as Bezos Expeditions. It began in a garage and has since grown into a well-known internet shopping portal. Amazon, Jeff Bezos' creation, has propelled him to the pinnacle of fortune and crowned him king of the internet. Jeff Bezos is a risk-taker and tough employer who will not tolerate complacency under any circumstances, on the other hand, is a hopeless romantic who puts his heart on his sleeve for the causes he supports. For as long as he can remember, Jeff Bezos has been an innovator. Bezos possesses one of the most important personality attributes that any aspiring or successful entrepreneur should possess. The man is a realist; he considers and weighs all options and probabilities. Jeff had embraced the possibility that the enterprise may fail and the cash would be lost before unleashing Amazon into the world. He has a propensity of recognizing negative consequences and making decisions based on his analysis.

Teachers Touch Tomorrow
A teacher always touches tomorrow. But it's not a very easy task, before they do so, they have to pass many challenges. In the age where every emerging way of working is referred to as a ‘new normal, the role of us teachers also stands to be redefined.

Ever since the advent of the internet, mobile phones, and social media networks the world is shrinking every day. Information on any topic or subject is readily available on the internet for the students to learn from. This access to information has produced a smarter generation. That only means the role of a teacher must shift from its conventional ‘show & tell’ lecture format to a more new-age-centric approach of considering the students as co-creators of knowledge.
This approach lets the students understand that they are not mere consumers of facts and information but active partners in the learning process. It ensures students stay engaged in class while offering every student a rewarding and unique learning experience. This approach also effectively addresses and aims to resolve generational issues like shorter attention spans, impatience, and dealing with infinite distractions caused by our devices. Furthermore, educators need to realize that the educational environment is not confined to the four walls of a classroom anymore, it extends into the home, the community and beyond. Educators today must understand how to develop a curriculum that is not only rich in content but challenging and engaging as well. We need to understand the similarities and the differences between the learning pathways of a student from Bihar and one from an urban city like Mumbai. Our job as educators is to counsel students as they grow and mature and to help them integrate their social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Our main task today is to assist our students in their discoveries.
The essence of education is a close relationship between a knowledgeable and caring adult and a secure and motivated youth. While the tools and techniques of education change, a good teacher will always continue to inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love for lifelong learning.

SPIC MACAY’s Anubhav @VU
Currently, the whole world is experiencing the ushering in of an age of modernity. An age where an individual is free to be who they are and free to do what they want. But, all over the world, this age of modernity is coming at the cost of their heritage and culture being discarded in order to follow the new trends. SPIC MACAY aims to combat that exact issue at it’s roots, the youth.
SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth) is a non-political, nationwide, voluntary movement founded by Dr. Kiran Seth. Their intention is to enrich formal education through the integration of aspects of Indian heritage and inspiring the youth to imbibe the values embedded in it. In order to achieve that, SPIC MACAY has organised the online event ANUBHAV where prominent artists from all over India convene to pass on the traditions and the culture of their art to the future generation.
This year, SPIC MACAY organised the 4th iteration ANUBAHV in a hybrid format where they partnered with educational institutes to organise this 7 day event in offline format as well. VijayBhoomi University had the honour of being one of the institutes to host world renowned artists. From 29th May to 4th June, students from all across India congregated at VijayBhoomi University in order to attend workshops conducted by the artists.
The artists that graced VU with their presence included SNA Ustad Bismillah Khan, Yuva Puraskar Awardee Vidushi Manjiri Kelkar, Padma Shri Awardee Vidushi Sunayana Hazarilal, A.I.R. Graded Artist Shri Vivek Sadasivam, & National Awardee Smt Chanda Gujjar. The artists conducted workshops on Kathak, Hindustani Vocals, Carnatic Vocals, and Mojari Jutti over a period of 7 days.
For 7 days, the campus was filled with students who were here to attend the event and the students of VU took on the job of volunteering. The volunteers were responsible for everything from arranging the venue to acting as a guide for the artists and assisting them. Although there were many duties, the students were very enthusiastic about getting the chance to closely interact with the artists of such high stature.
Apart from the workshops, the artists also staged performances for the students who were not a part of ANUBHAV. This allowed for the students who were not able to enrol for ANUBHAV to also witness the artists in action.
The whole event left a deep positive impression on the VU campus and its students. It helped the students learn all kinds of lessons from organisation and management of an event to the understanding of Indian culture and heritage.

What are the hostel infrastructure and amenities provided?
|
|
|
|
The residential hostels are designed over a slope and each building is a G+1 floor. These hostel buildings have designated names from H1 to H6. Each hostel has a water tank on the terrace and solar panels for electricity backup and is a way towards sustainability in any way possible. The whole campus is connected with a constant wifi connection.
Each room in the hostels is occupied by 4 students, where each student is from different schools like TSM, INSOFE, JAGSOM, Design, and Law School. This encourages students to take up courses outside their disciplines and explore their interests.
Students here are from different parts of India, and they live here together, learning, unlearning, and growing with their friends, which turns into a lifelong relationship.
